Why I am proud to be Trustee of Ward 3
I ran for school trustee in Ward 3 of the Winnipeg School Division because I believe in local community decision making. Over these last four years, I have thoroughly enjoyed attending parent advisory meetings, concerts, events and celebrations. It has been meaningful to meet with parents and community members to discuss concerns and ideas to make our community better.
Why Me?
I have had four children in three of the Ward schools, which gives me a unique perspective into the reality of other families. I have represented this ward for four years, as vice-chair and currently chair of the board. I am a teacher, I have a Masters of Education, Diploma in Human Resources and co-founded the Spanish Bilingual program at Earl Grey. I am passionate about equity and I work hard for my family.
